In 2020 our family welcomed our son and nephew Charles Graham into this world. Graham was blessed with an extra chromosome also known as Down Syndrome. While this plays a big role in his life, it does not define him and what he can and will do. Graham, like all of us, is here for a reason. Whatever his reason is, we know he will be doing it with a great big smile on his face. Graham and the pure happiness he has for life is the inspiration behind Happy Golf Company.

 

Happy Golf was created to offer high quality golf gloves at affordable prices, delivered right to your door while supporting a bigger purpose of teaching kids with Down Syndrome and other special needs to play the great game of golf. As most of us who play golf have experienced, this game can be extremely frustrating at times.  People with Down Syndrome have an amazing outlook on life and are some of the happiest people you will ever meet in any situation (three putts included). Happy Golf wants to bring that character onto the golf course and motivate people to Live Golf Happy. 10% of all our sales will go to the I Got This Foundation (https://www.igotthis.foundation/) to help grow their initiative. 

 

The I Got This Foundation provides golf instruction, playing opportunities, and organized events, striving to teach people with Down Syndrome and other intellectual disabilities to play golf; therefore, paving the way for them to compete in leagues with typical peers, join high school teams, and enjoy the many social benefits of golf.

 

Our golf gloves will have a subscription-based model similar to Dollar Shave Club (to ensure you always have what you need without the hassle). Customers will have the option to sign up and have these gloves delivered directly to their home or golf course of choice on a weekly, bi-weekly, monthly or one-time basis. We will eventually be adding full apparel and golf accessory lines as well. All our products will be high quality and designed to put life into perspective. So, shake off the duffed shot or triple bogey and Live Golf Happy!

The Meaning Behind Our Logo
 
The symbol, affectionately known as "The Lucky Few," embodies the spirit of resilience, joy, and unity within the Down Syndrome community. The three arrows pointing upward represent the three copies of the 21st chromosome as well as how those living with Down syndrome “rise up and move forward.” This symbol not only represents a shared identity but also stands as a testament to the inherent strength and beauty found in diversity. Happy Golf is proud to include “The Lucky Few” arrows in its logo, symbolizing a collective commitment to embracing differences, fostering inclusive environments, and advocating for the rights and dignity of all individuals, regardless of ability. To exemplify this we use these three arrows in our logo and our family even all got permanent tattoos on our wrists. Those of us who are blessed to love someone with Down syndrome truly are the lucky few!
